£2.00 | United Kingdom | Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | I've spent a lot of money on radiohead albums, EPs, singles, gigs and merchandising over the years and now its my turn to take something back off them. But I have no idea how I decided on £2 - why not 1p? The fact that I probably could have dowloaded it for free very soon after makes my decision to pay even stranger. That way I really be 'taking something back off them'. Obviously I've fallen into whatever psychological trap they've set, persuading downloaders to pay something and so 'engage' with the album. Very clever. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | More than the band would get if I bought their cd, plus a little bit extra to encourage the idea. I'd much rather the band get my money than the record companies. I didn't pay more since it doesn't include the actual cd/case/artwork. Discbox?: No CD?: Undecided |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | Nice Album. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Undecided |
£2.00 | Mexico | I would have paid more, but I'm going to buy the CD once it hits the stores, so that's why I only paid 2 sterlings Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United States | Just because it was a download... I will buy physical release when it comes out. I Love Radiohead Discbox?: Yes CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United States | Would have paid 6 or 7 Pounds, but I am definitely buying the physical cd or boxset if/when it is released in the States. I also took a Pound off when I realized I couldn't purchase without creating an account. Discbox?: Yes CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United States | I paid 4 american dollars, which i figure is ~ 2 sterling lbs? Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | Fair price, as I will be buying the cd when it gets a normal release and I ain't paying full price twice. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | Chile | Nice Idea Discbox?: No CD?: No |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | the price they would receive through standard distribution of their record after the appropriate deductions, plus a litte bit more (i think) Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | I'm poor its all i could afford. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | I chose this price as it is approximately what I would have paid on emusic (about 20p per track). I'd pay £7-£9 for a normal new release CD, but downloads are an inferior product. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.00 | United Kingdom | I now wish I'd paid more. A fiver would have been closer to the mark. This is a brave move by the boys and they deserve every penny. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.05 | United States | When it comes out on CD, I'll pay whatever it takes. But as for a 160 kbps mp3? Less valuable. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Yes |
£2.20 | Mexico | I wanted 192kbps at least. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.24 | United Kingdom | This move will no doubt be financially beneficial for Radiohead. Many fans will want the box set regardless of having a free download of the music itself. Meanwhile, those who would be curious but would ordinarily not want to buy the music for a typical album price now have the opportunity to get it much cheaper. Whilst there will also be those that would feel Radiohead deserve a fair price for their music and will pay what they would expect to do so ordinarily. Whilst I wouldn't call this a copycat tactic - as I imagine the band have different reasons for employing this approach than say new upcommers - it certainly isn't a new phenomenon. I wish the band all the best in their enterprise. I added the pennies column in my two accounts and payed that amount (plus the card charge). Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.30 | United Kingdom | i intend to buy the cd when its out in the stores Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Yes |
£2.45 | United Kingdom | I will buy the CD when it's out as well... crossing fingers for CD2 to come with normal CD release! Discbox?: No CD?: Yes |
£2.45 | United Kingdom | Will be buying the CD version in January if not the discbox in december. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Yes |
£2.45 | United Kingdom | HK$38.80 ~ £2.45. A lucky number. I haven't really heard much of Radiohead (ok, apart from "Creep"), but this looked very interesting, so thought I'd give it a listen. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.45 | United Kingdom | I'm an out-of-work, completely broke single parent so I decided to tip out my purse on the floor and give the band however much was in there at the time. It was £2.45...and it's all the money I have in the world for the next 3 days. When I'm less broke, I'll make a donation to the band's favourite charity. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.45 | United States | If I had more would have given more, planning on buying the deluxe set. Discbox?: Yes CD?: Not Answered* |
£2.47 | United States | I paid this rate because I felt it was fair for just a download. I also plan on buying the actual CD whenever it is released and I'm seriously also considering the boxset, but in US dollars it's awful expensive. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
THis is the first time since Be Here Now that an album release has become an EVENT. Like Harry Potter or Halo. For that, you've got to give Radiohead respect.
Saying that, this model will not work for 99.99% of anyone else.
I'll be interested to watch how well the Charlatans fare giving their new one away.
