Figuring i'd buy it when it came out on cd, i figured $5 for a digital download is a fair price. They'll get my $15 when it hits cd.

I salute Radiohead's move, as it brings a bit of drama and excitement back into a business that is often lacking in it these days.

I opted for £2.50 as my idea of a healthy album royalty rather than retail price. Given that we are paying to hand over our personal data (including mobile phone number) in return for a few digital files which will be readily available elsewhere, I think this is more than generous.

I suspect Radiohead's gamble will pay off, not least as they have a strong fanbase amongst the educated middle / upper middle class who attitudinally are likely to try to strike some kind of 'honest' deal. I look forward to the results of this poll with great interest.

That's the equivalent of one US dollar for each band member. I couldn't bear to take it for free, and I wanted to help make the release worth the risk!

Worth the price of a pint. I love Radiohead, I'll pay more later when I can afford it. I'm a poor student.

I will either receive the disc box for Christmas or buy it directly afterward, but can't wait that long to hear this

I will buy the album as soon as it is released....i do feel rather guilty for forking out £2.50 for what i'm sure is going to be a fantastic album..

I'll pay for the physical disc when it comes out, and I'm not saying I won't get the deluxe set either. For no artwork and low-quality mp3s, I think this was a fair price.

i would have paid less had i known it was 160 kbps - my setup (and ears) find this distractingly low. 192 should have been lowest considered acceptable rate, 224 fair, 256 excellent...

I payed 2.50, but I'm still undecided about getting the discbox. If I don't, I'll pay them more. If the album's especially awesome, I'll pay them even more. I love the concept of 'tipping' a band, being able to show support in a more intimate way, even for a band as big as Radiohead.

I probably should have paid more but knowing that all profits went to the band made me feel pretty good about my purchase. I appreciate Radiohead a lot they have been there for me through the thick and thin. Thanks Guys

Radiohead rock for breaking the mould and hopefully leading the revolution against the music industry as we know it today.

I feel they've gone steadily downhill since the bends; ok computer was very very different but still interesting but I found the rest just noise. I've no idea why I'd buy this other than band loyalty, the novelty and the probably misguided hope that one day they'd be good again. Until then £3 seems a fair price to pay for any music you don't physically own.
