£1.00 | France | Too difficult to put a price on something so important... Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£1.00 | France | As i would never buy there music normally and I may only listen to it once a pound seems fair, as well as being a pound they wouldn't have otherwise. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£3.00 | France | A bit of power for the artists, enfin ! A big pleasure for my mind(s) and ear(s) - thank(s) Radiohead(s). Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Undecided |
£4.00 | France | brilliant idea, brilliant record Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Yes |
£5.00 | France | Payed for discovering the album and encouraging an initiative that I appreciate from a band that I admire. Will probably buy the two cds if the album is good. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£5.00 | France | Stupid to think it is for free. this shows people don't understand what it is about. They invested in the music, they deserve payment. Very stupid to think the rich is the ennemy. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£6.00 | France | For me £6.00 is the real price(or something around this) of an album. I will certainly buy the CD next year Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Yes |
£40.00 | Germany | brilliant idea! Discbox?: Not applicable - I already ordered the discbox CD?: Not Answered* |
£40.00 | Germany | i chose to order the discbox, because i wanted the real thing. the band is a huge inspiration and worth every penny... i love their artwork as well, so the discbox has to be a must-have to me ;) Discbox?: Not applicable - I already ordered the discbox CD?: Not Answered* |
£40.00 | Germany | it's worth it! Discbox?: Not applicable - I already ordered the discbox CD?: Not Answered* |
£0.00 | Germany | I will first listen to it and then decide how much i will spend for it. And I think its a brilliant idea to sell music that way, because by that i can support the bands I like and pay what I think the album is wearth to me. Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Undecided |
£0.00 | Germany | I want a physical product, but the discbox has too much, I don't want vinyl, and it's too expensive. I'll buy the CD if I like the download. Had I been able to buy a CD, I would have paid for it without hearing it. Discbox?: No CD?: Undecided |
£0.00 | Germany | Missing features: - No prelisten. I don't know Radiohead or their music and I'm not willing to pay money for something completly unknown. - Only 160 kBps MP3. ,256 kBps MP3 and/or ,160 kBps AAC would be better. - No Cover Art included. - No possibility to pay for the album after the initial download. - Asking for a mobile phone number as a mandatory registration field is too much of an invasion of privacy. (Any phone number would be bad but a mobile number is just asking for bogus entries.) Summary: Nice basic idea but unfortunatly doomed due to bad execution IMHO. Discbox?: No CD?: No |
£0.00 | Germany | Great idea, but not exactly my kind of music. Discbox?: No CD?: No |
£2.00 | Germany | I didn't choose a CD price because a lot of the money contained in CD prices goes to the music industry and not to the band. Actually, the new record is awesome and I'd have spent a few more bucks if I had known before in which quality the MP3s would be and how many percent of a CD price really goes to the band. Generally, it's a very good idea, but the quality of the MP3 should be better (maybe 250 or 320 kbit). Also, a choice of format between MP3 and OGG would have been great. Discbox?: No CD?: Yes |
£3.00 | Germany | 3 GBP plus the credit card fee. I might also buy a CD (not the special discbox) it it is available for a reasonable price as I prefer it to listen to CDs in my living room. Discbox?: No CD?: Undecided |
£3.00 | Germany | It would have been nice to have a prelistening function before buying and a printable Cover with a tracklist. Then I might have spend more money. Also the Bitrate of 160**MBit/s is a bit low. But the music is absolutely cool. Great album. Discbox?: No CD?: Undecided |
£5.00 | Germany | The MI must die! Discbox?: No CD?: No |
£0.00 | Greece | they are paving the way for OpenMusic Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Not Answered* |
£0.00 | Greece | I would give three euros but have no credit card. Discbox?: No CD?: Not Answered* |
£3.00 | Greece | fantastic idea. paid what I thought the artist actually receives from a normal cd sale Discbox?: Undecided CD?: Undecided |
£40.00 | Indonesia | bought the discbox. anyone who called themself "a radiohead fan" should be doing this anyway Discbox?: Not applicable - I already ordered the discbox CD?: Not Answered* |
£40.00 | Ireland | future of music. the first time in recent memory that an album has been unleashed upon the public and press at the same time, with no one having heard a note of it before release. terrific album too.. Discbox?: Not applicable - I already ordered the discbox CD?: No |
I shamelessly "bought it" for free, but the album is so brilliant that each time I listen to it I consider more and more seriously paying for it (around 4-5 euros).
I will probably buy the physical object, the proper CD, as well, when/if it is released in stores early 2008.
